Michela Signoretto is the President and co-founder of Ve Nice. In 1994 she got her PhD degree in Chemistry at the Ferrara-Venice University Consortium. In March 1996, she was appointed Researcher (Assistant Professor) and joined the Department of Chemistry-Faculty of Science of the University of Venice, in the field of Industrial Chemistry. In 2013, she was appointed Associate Professor, in 2019 Full Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems, University of Venice, where she is currently working. She leads CATMAT research group. Her research focuses on nanomaterials synthesis for energy and environmental applications. She is also involved in the formulation of new sustainable materials for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. She has co-authored 8 book chapters and over 120 scientific publications on international journals in the field of material sciences (h-index=37, Scopus, January 2020).
Federica Menegazzo is a co-founder of the start up Ve Nice. Currently she works as researcher at CATMAT research group at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She earned her Laurea degree with full grade in Industrial Chemistry at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and received her PhD degree in Chemical Sciences at the University of Ferrara in 2003. Her principal scientific interests are in the development of innovative nanostructured materials and their use in industrial and sustainable chemistry. In particular, she is working on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles supported on oxides materials, their characterization and application for the production of chemicals from renewable sources. She has presented her works on several national and international congresses. She has co-authored 4 book chapters and over 60 publications in peer-reviewed international journals (h-index=27, Scopus, January 2020).
Elena Ghedini is the Vice-President and co-founder of the start up Ve Nice. She is actually a post-doc Researcher at CATMAT group of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems Dept. of Ca’ Foscari University. She has received the Degree in Material Science from Padua University and the PhD Degree in Chemistry from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her research is focused in solid-state chemistry covering aspect of synthesis characterization and reactivity of metal oxides and hybrid materials. Her activity has regarded mainly the investigation of nanoporous materials with controlled structure and morphology for catalytic applications and for bio-applications. Her research has been addressed to the optimization of sustainable and innovative synthetic approaches for the formulations of smart materials for the cosmetic market.
Azzurra Meoli is a co-founder of the start up Ve Nice. She graduated in Management Engineering in 2012 at the University of Bologna, with a score of 110/110. Immediately after graduating, she worked for a year for important companies in the Bologna and Milan area that allowed her to acquire important relational and organizational skills. In March 2018 she received the PhD in Management at the University of Bologna. Dr. Meoli's research lies in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, with particular attention to entrepreneurial activities that arise from university students and / or recent graduates. During her PhD, she spent a period abroad at the Syracuse University Business School; this experience has allowed her to develop an important international network. In September 2017 she started a Post Doc at the Cà Foscari University of Venice, while actually she is working as post doc at University of Bologna.
Enrica Tanduo is a co-founder of the start up Ve Nice. She graduated in December 2016 in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Padua and in June 2017 she passed the State Exam for enrollment in the register of pharmacists. During her university training, she acquired a solid background in the field of synthesis and industrial characterization of pharmaceuticals and studied the aspects relating to the development of products for the cosmetic market with a course in the formulation of cosmetic products. She has worked on the ESF project "Ve-nice: Natural and Innovative formulations for an effective Cosmetics in Veneto" for the formulation of high-performance and eco-sustainable hi-tech cosmetics, starting from raw materials deriving from waste. She had work experience in different pharmacies open to the public, having the possibility of being in contact with customers and learning to recommend the different products (also on a cosmetic level), based on the different needs of the consumer.
